
Pramod Bhasin
Founder of Genpact; Chairman, Clix Capital and ICRIER
Pramod Bhasin is the founder of Genpact and is widely regarded as a pioneer of India’s business process outsourcing industry. Founding the company in 1996 as GE Capital’s India back-office operation, he built it into a global enterprise spanning more than twenty countries, led it through its New York Stock Exchange listing and ran it as CEO of a US-listed public company until 2011.
Earlier, Bhasin headed GE Capital in the region, serving as President and CEO of GE Capital India from 1994 to 2005 and of GE Capital Asia, where he founded its financial services business and built joint ventures including SBI Cards. He is presently the Chairperson of Clix Capital, a digital financial services business, and of ICRIER, the well-known economic research think tank.
A Chartered Accountant (England and Wales) and an alumnus of Shri Ram College of Commerce, he is a former Chairman of NASSCOM and was voted IT Man of the Year by DataQuest. He co-founded Asha Impact and serves on the board of DLF Ltd.
