
Paul Starrett
Attorney and private investigator; AI, privacy and cybersecurity-risk specialist
Paul Starrett is an attorney and licensed private investigator specializing in privacy and data-protection technology, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity risk. Licensed to practice law in California and as an investigator in California and Illinois, he holds a Master of Science in Predictive Analytics from Northwestern University and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from Golden Gate University.
His career of more than 25 years began in law enforcement and corporate security before progressing into information-security engineering, electronic discovery and information management. He previously served as General Counsel and Chief Global Risk Officer of an international, publicly held data-management corporation, where he headed the company’s global legal, operations and risk-management groups.
Mr. Starrett is founder and CEO of Starrett Consulting and co-founder of PrivacyLabs, focusing on automated integration, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity-risk consulting. He is founding chair of the American Bar Association’s Big Data Committee and a Certified Fraud Examiner.
