Jayant Krishna
Group CEO, UK India Business Council; former CEO, National Skill Development Corporation
Jayant Krishna held diverse leadership roles in the Tata Group for two decades, then served as CEO of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) under India’s Ministry of Skill Development, before becoming Group CEO of the UK India Business Council (UKIBC) — the first Indian to hold that post.
At NSDC he served as CEO, Executive Director and COO, leading key initiatives of the Prime Minister’s Skill India mission. His two decades with the Tata Group were largely at Tata Consultancy Services, where his global leadership roles included Director of Life Sciences and Healthcare and Regional Director for the UK and Ireland.
Appointed UKIBC Group CEO in July 2020, he worked to strengthen bilateral economic ties between India and the United Kingdom. He has since served as a Senior Fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, DC, and as Executive Director, Public Policy at the Wadhwani Foundation.
