Eric Tolson of Burnsville, North Carolina, retired from the United States Air Force after more than 21 years of service and then pursued a career in emergency services. He serves as a Firefighter and First Responder Coordinator with the Newdale Fire Department and as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician with the Avery County Emergency Medical Service, both in North Carolina, USA.
With more than 14 years of experience in the fire service, Tolson researches issues and trends faced by firefighters and continually educates citizens and future firefighters. He holds degrees in Human Resources and Criminal Justice Administration and has pursued further study in Pre-hospital Emergency Medical Services.
