
Dushyant Dave
Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India; former President, Supreme Court Bar Association
Dushyant Dave is one of India’s best-known Senior Advocates, designated by the Supreme Court of India in 1998. Enrolling at the Bar in 1978, he practised in the Gujarat High Court until 1986 before moving to Delhi, building a practice spanning constitutional, civil, criminal and corporate law, with numerous appearances in matters concerning fundamental rights and civil liberties. He served three times as President of the Supreme Court Bar Association.
Active in international commercial arbitration, he was on the London Court of International Arbitration between 2003 and 2008 and is a member of the International Council of Commercial Arbitration, having also served on the governing board of the American Arbitration Association. He was a member of the National Legal Services Authority from 2004 to 2008. In July 2025, after turning 70, he announced his retirement from the legal profession following 48 years at the Bar.
