Global VP Technical – HSSE, TORM A/S Denmark; Head of TORM India
Capt Jasdeep Loney is the Global Vice President – Technical (HSSE) of TORM A/S Denmark, one of the world’s largest product tanker shipping companies, and heads the TORM Group in India. A marine industry veteran of nearly four decades with expertise in oil transportation, he began as an apprentice on a merchant ship in 1981, worked his way up through shipboard ranks and obtained his command in 1996.
Coming ashore in 2000, he has led and executed global projects on health, security, safety and environment across the international marine industry, holding TORM’s global HSSE portfolio since 2011. He returned to India in 2016 to head TORM India in addition to his global role, in a group employing roughly 4,000 seafarers and shore staff across offices from Copenhagen to Mumbai and Singapore.
