What is NISSMAT?
NISSMAT — the National Institute of Security, Safety, Management and Applied Technology — is an independent think-tank and training institute established in 1990 in New Delhi. It serves the security, safety and applied-technology community in India, the Gulf, South-East Asia and beyond through webinars, seminars, interactive sessions and expert interviews led by retired senior police, military and legal experts.
Who leads NISSMAT?
NISSMAT is led by President C Pal Singh (former Inspector General of Police, Punjab, and founding chief of the Rapid Action Force), Chairman Capt Pawanjit Singh Ahluwalia (The Parachute Regiment; Chairman, TAG Group) and Director Enterprises Maj Gen Deepak Mehta, guided by an Advisory Board of senior leaders from the armed forces, police, law and education.
What is the NISSMAT Speakers Forum?
The Speakers Forum is NISSMAT’s flagship speaker programme, running for more than a hundred sessions since its inception. Its international webinar era — Sessions 101 to 129, held between September 2020 and February 2022 — is archived online, with speakers from policing, defence, law, business and academia across more than a dozen countries.

What membership categories does NISSMAT offer?

Does NISSMAT provide fire safety training?
Yes. The NISSMAT Academy Executive Fire Safety Course (P1) is a half-day, on-site programme for corporate teams of 15–30 — five modules covering fire fundamentals, prevention, appliances, live extinguisher practice for every participant, and a full building evacuation drill, with documentation for your compliance records.
